The field of hydrobiology involves functional and structural studies of freshwater ecosystems under the influence of various environmental factors, using both field methods (physical-chemical and acoustic analysis of instrumental water parameters, hydrobiont sampling) and laboratory methods (microscopy, chemical analysis of water parameters, molecular and biochemical techniques).
