DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

• The study field “Teacher of Sport and Social Sciences” of the professional bachelor study programme “Teacher”;
• Organizes and manages sports events of various types and levels at Daugavpils University and in the Republic of Latvia;
• Ensures the activity of Daugavpils University sports sections;
• Promotes scientific research activities in the field of sports science in cooperation with other universities and institutions in Latvia and abroad;
• Promotes sport and healthy lifestyle;
• Promotes participation of representatives and teams of Daugavpils University in various sports in the Universiade of the Republic of Latvia and international competitions.
