The mission of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences is to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary and socially relevant research in the humanities and social sciences. In cooperation with institutions in Latvia and other countries, the Institute focuses on new research topics, implementing interdisciplinary research and mastering the latest qualitative and quantitative research methods. The Institute has established a strong research platform, which has guaranteed successful involvement in the projects of the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon Europe that ensures the internationalization of academic research.
