Aim of the project:
The aim of the project is to strengthen the human capital capacity for research and development necessary for economic growth and transformation in areas of smart specialisation by providing support for doctoral research, increasing the number of PhD graduates and their employment in scientific filed, and promoting staff renewal at Daugavpils University.

Project results: 1. Number of doctoral students who got ERDF support for their studies or research at the project applicant’s or project partner’s institution – 12; 2. Number of doctoral grant recipients who have obtained a doctoral degree – 3; 3. Research jobs created in the supported structures – 3 PLE; 4. Number of women among the supported recipients – 5.
