From April 20 to 24, 2026, students of the First cycle higher education (professional bachelor’s) study program “Primary Education Teacher” (program code 42 141, D139S), full-time studies, 1st, 2nd, 3rd year of study participated in the ERASMUS+ BLENDED INTENSIVE PROGRAM (BIP) “Inclusive Education in the Context of Socio-Cultural Diversity” (ID: 2024-1-LT01-KA131-HED-000207369-3), organized by Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy.

HSZF students – Anželika Ustinova, Anna Macuka, Katerīna Dobrovoļska, Nora Krikova, Annija Sargune, Anna Vansoviča, and Sofija Vilcāne – demonstrated genuine interest and further developed the professional skills required for the teaching profession. Within the framework of the project, they actively participated in practical activities, enriched their experience, and engaged in discussions on teachers’ professional development and contemporary challenges in inclusive education.

The project organizers and guest lecturers discussed various substantive aspects of the field of education. After the lectures, seminars, webinars, discussions and reflections were organized, which enriched the ideas about the specifics and content of the primary education teacher profession in general. As well as inspired all participants to cooperate and actively participate in BIP projects in the future.

We would like to express our gratitude for the support provided by the leadership of Daugavpils University, HSZF management, I. Hodanova, the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University, and the students themselves, as well as for their readiness to implement new ideas, enrich their personal experience, share it with others, and promote their study programmes at the international level.

Thank you to our cooperation partners for the excellent opportunity to become acquainted with the latest local and global development trends in the field of inclusive education. Special thanks go to Assist. Prof. Dr. Regina Karvelienė and lecturer Beatričė Poškuvienė, who also organized study visits to schools for the project participants.
