DAU Bryophyte Herbarium began to be systematized in 2019, when bryophyte collections of students and employees of the Daugavpils University were compiled. Currently 1496 herbarium specimens have been registered and digitized (04.04.2023). Herbarium represents hornworts, liverworts and mosses. Herbarium is systematized based on the genera in alphabetical order.
Herbarium is digitized in PlutoF database. Most of the bryophyte specimens are from Latvia (>1000), but collections from Germany, Norway, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, USA, Malaysia, Panama and Russia are also available.
