Study Quality Assessment Centre

The Study Quality Assessment Centre (SQAC) is responsible for ensuring the quality management and continuous enhancement of studies at Daugavpils University (DU), based on evidence, data-driven decision-making, and the principles of a student-centred approach.

The Centre cooperates closely with the University management, faculties, heads of study fields, study programme directors, the Student Council, and other stakeholders to promote high-quality study provision that meets the needs of society.

The main functions of the Study Quality Assessment Centre are to:

• coordinate and continuously improve the internal quality assurance system of Daugavpils University;
• organise surveys of students, graduates, and employers, and analyse the results;
• monitor the quality of the study process and analyse performance indicators;
• coordinate the accreditation of study fields and the licensing of study programmes;
• collect and analyse study programme self-evaluation reports;
• ensure the implementation of a student-centred approach in the evaluation and enhancement of the study process;
• promote the principles of academic integrity and encourage the involvement of stakeholders in quality assurance activities;
• provide recommendations for the continuous improvement and development of study quality.

The activities of the Study Quality Assessment Centre are based on the principles of continuous improvement, student-centred learning, and evidence-based quality management. The Centre supports data-informed decision-making and contributes to the ongoing enhancement of the quality of studies at Daugavpils University.
