Daugavpils University’s Procurement Department (PD) is a structural unit for organizing, coordinating, and carrying out a wide and diverse range of economic activities. PD prepares contracts for communal services that DU provides to other organizations — water, sewage, heating, electricity supply, waste removal, pest control, laundry services — as well as contracts for non-residential premises rental, procurement, vehicle technical maintenance, servicing of communication and alarm systems, mandatory health check-ups for DU staff, and more.
The unit monitors and ensures the quality of communication and information technology systems — telephone, internet; drafts proposals for technical improvements to reduce maintenance costs of operated facilities; conducts inspections of buildings, structures, and engineering networks; and provides motor transport for study processes and economic activities. PD also organizes compliance with occupational safety regulatory requirements within DU’s structural units and works to improve the working conditions of employees.
