The goal of the project is to reduce fragmentation in the field of Latvian historical research, promote its international visibility, establish new criteria in public discourse for interpreting Latvia’s 20th century history, stimulate new conceptual ideas about the development of Latvian statehood, and to promote the training of a new generation of historical researchers. In total, more than 30 scientists and students will be involved in the project. Historians from the Latvian War Museum and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, as well as experts in digital humanities from CLARIN-LV and DARIAH-EU, are also involved in the project.
