The aim of the projecte: to study the processes of social memory formation of the Holocaust in Latvia after World War II from a comparative (temporal, geographical and cultural) perspective with the aim of clarifying the socio-political and historical discourses that have shaped the memory of the Holocaust in Latvia. The study will analyze representations and discursive structures of the Holocaust and describe Latvian society’s knowledge and attitudes toward the Holocaust, as well as the communicative, social, political, and cultural memory processes that shape them.
Planned project results: five conference papers, five scientific publications (at least two of them indexed in SCOPUS / WEB OF SCIENCE databases, one monograph), two mobility grants, three popular science publications and five popularising networking events.
