On August 16, representatives of the Association of Security Professionals visited Daugavpils University.

During their visit, the guests toured Daugavpils University, learned about the educational opportunities offered by the University, especially in the field of security, and discussed potential areas of cooperation. Special attention was paid to opportunities for cooperation in the field of civil protection, which will enhance the exchange of new knowledge and experience between the University and the Association’s specialists.

The board members of the Association of Security Professionals Oskars Cēris and Uldis Lībietis were interested in cooperation with Daugavpils University emphasizing that to ensure national security educated and qualified security specialists are needed.

Representatives of the University and Board members of the Association reiterated the visit as an important step in establishing further cooperation, unfolding new opportunities for scientific research and academic cooperation as well as creating new opportunities for students, researchers, and practitioners to work together to address global challenges.
