Natural Research and Environmental Education Centre (Latvia) and Miško Briedžio Mokykla (Lithuania) had launched an Erasmus+ KA210-SCH – Small-scale partnerships in school education project “BioSustainED: Teacher Capacity Building in Biodiversity”. The project aim is to strengthen secondary school teacher’s knowledge and necessary skills to teach students about biodiversity conservation at secondary school level.

Objectives of the project:

  1. To conceptualize a methodological approach and prepare an educational framework for biodiversity teaching at secondary school level (methodological guidelines).
  2. To develop a teacher training program which will include theoretical and practical training on biodiversity for ecosystem conservation.
  3. To organise teacher training activity based on the developed program in order to test and validate the outputs created.
  4. To organise a dissemination event (an online seminar) with the purpose to share the project results.

The project consortium had a kick-off meeting on 20th February where partners discussed next steps, revised a work plan and agreed on communication and dissemination activities to address target groups directly.
