A networking event was held at the Embassy of the French Republic in Riga, bringing together representatives of higher education institutions from France and Latvia. The aim of the event was to strengthen academic, research, and innovation partnerships, as well as to create new foundations for exchange opportunities for students and staff. Daugavpils University was represented by Sergejs Poļanskis, Lecturer at the Department of Languages and Literature, and Jeļena Tamane, Assistant to the Rector.

During the event, university delegations presented their educational and research priorities and shared their experiences with international mobility programmes, joint study programmes, and the development of micro-credentials.

Representatives of the French Embassy emphasised that the discussions confirmed the shared interests and complementary strengths of institutions in both countries. It was noted that future plans include further development of platforms enabling students and researchers from both sides to gain maximum benefit, while also promoting the professional development of academic and administrative staff.

The event took place in a friendly and professional atmosphere, facilitating effective networking and the identification of concrete cooperation opportunities.
