On October 15, 2025, Daugavpils University hosted a series of events dedicated to cooperation with the Nordic countries. The rector of Daugavpils University, professor Arvīds Barševskis, met with representatives of the Nordic–Latvian Chambers of Commerce and senior executives from various companies.

The meeting was marked by a constructive and productive dialogue. The rector presented the University’s scientific potential, research infrastructure, and key research directions. Particular attention was given to opportunities for collaboration with Nordic partners. The guests expressed strong interest in Daugavpils University’s expertise in developing sustainability reports, as well as in the work of its experts in the field of biodiversity. The discussions highlighted several promising avenues for future cooperation.
