On 30 May 2025, the inter-university international students scientific-practical conference “Children. Teacher. Education.” took place. This was the third year that the conference was organised by four Latvian universities – Daugavpils University, Riga Technical University Liepaja Academy, Riga Technical University Rezekne Academy and the University of Latvia – in cooperation with foreign university partners.

The conference was held in English and Latvian.

Daugavpils University was represented by four second-year students from the Preschool Teacher program, who presented research conducted as part of their qualification paper:

Diāna Dzirkale “Promoting children’s understanding of actions in extreme situations”.

Laila Anna Strode “Collaboration between speech therapist and teacher to support children’s speech development in the 2nd stage of preschool”.

Anna Stalidzāne “Methodological tool “Colouring Latgale!” for promoting children’s civic participation skills.”

Jūlija Homenko “Organizing a child-centred environment to promote children’s adaptation in the first stage of preschool education.”

First- and second-year students also participated in the conference as listeners, gaining valuable experience in researching current trends in preschool education.
