In the summer of 2025, significant academic achievements were celebrated at Daugavpils University – students from various countries around the world, including Ukraine, Sri Lanka, India, Sudan, and others, received their university diplomas. This event not only confirms DU’s international openness but also highlights Daugavpils as an attractive study center in the Baltic region.

For several years now, Daugavpils University has been offering a wide range of study programs in English, with humanities, natural sciences, and education programmes being especially in demand. International students choose DU not only for its academic quality but also for its affordable tuition fees, safe environment, and personalized approach.

Among this year’s graduates were future English language specialists and economists who completed their studies at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. The diversity of the students’ countries of origin demonstrates DU’s ability to attract talented young people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.

The International and Public Relations Department of DU actively supported students during their studies by offering integration activities, Latvian language training, and personal assistance. Many of the graduates plan to continue their professional careers in Latvia by pursuing further studies at the next level, while others will return to their home countries with valuable knowledge and new perspectives.
