The term of the DU UNESCO Chair agreement has been extended. The agreement between UNESCO and Daugavpils University on the Chair, which was originally signed in 2013, will be extended until June 30, 2029.

Under the leadership of Professor Ilga Salīte, the department will contribute to the education sector through research and training, as well as university exchanges and knowledge sharing. It will promote the active involvement of the department’s team in various activities organized by UNESCO and its partner organizations, as well as find opportunities for inter-university cooperation and support knowledge exchange and different activities.
