On March 31, 2025, at 15:00, a Doctoral School session titled “Laying the Foundation: Smart Data Processing from Research Design to Insights” will take place at Daugavpils University via the online platform Zoom.

The session will be led by Daugavpils University researcher Dr. biol. Maksims Zolovs.

You will have the opportunity to learn fundamental concepts of population and sample, explore methods for calculating sample size, and discover the steps taken before and during data collection to ensure quality, consistency, and usability. You will also explore the question: How does a clear research question (e.g., “Does X affect Y?”) shape data requirements and potentially save researchers time and resources?
