Daugavpils University to host international training on the latest technologies in forensics

From August 18 to 22, 2025, Daugavpils University, in cooperation with the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI), will organize an international training activity 63/2025/ONS: “Forensics – emerging technologies,” which will take place in Daugavpils.

During the five-day course, Daugavpils University will welcome participants, trainers, and experts from various European countries, who will share their experience and knowledge on the latest trends in the field of forensics.

This face-to-face training activity is implemented within the framework of the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training(CEPOL) program and the goals of the training are:

  • to present various various identification documents and their security features, using the latest data from Internal Revenue Service systems (IRS databases);
  • to strengthen the effectiveness of document and vehicle identification number (VIN) checks and investigations;
  • to expand the knowledge and competence of European Union law enforcement officials in the prevention of crime.
  • Target audience
  • The training is intended for employees of law enforcement agencies who work with modern methods of analysis and data interpretation. The target audience is high-level practitioners and professionals who deal with forensic expertise and evidence analysis on a daily basis.
