Today, on December 16, 2023, the Rector of Daugavpils University, Professor Arvīds Barševskis, Deputy Rector for Development Dr. Jānis Kudiņš, and Director of the Institute of Life Sciences and Technologies Dr. Uldis Valainis held a meeting with the management of Regula Baltija at the company’s headquarters in Daugavpils.

The meeting featured a productive and forward-looking discussion on potential avenues for collaboration between the university and the company. Regula Baltija is a globally recognized leader in the production of security and document authentication equipment, with its products exported to over 170 countries worldwide. Key topics of discussion included the involvement of the company’s experts in the development and enhancement of academic study programs, as well as opportunities for joint research and innovation projects. Both parties expressed a strong interest in building long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation.

A follow-up meeting is planned for next month to further define and advance specific areas of collaboration.
