The Rector of Daugavpils University, professor Arvīds Barševskis, together with representatives from the Faculty of Life Sciences and Health Care, met with medical professionals from Daugavpils Regional Hospital to explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of research. Although initially scheduled for one hour, the meeting extended into the afternoon, reflecting the high level of engagement and the abundance of questions and ideas regarding potential joint research initiatives and shared use of research infrastructure.

Professor Barševskis remarked:

“It is truly encouraging to meet so many young doctors who are not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely interested in collaborative research and project development. We have agreed to continue meeting regularly and to intensify our cooperation in the field of scientific research.”

A follow-up meeting will soon be organised by Daugavpils University for doctors interested in research, where they will have the opportunity to engage directly with university scientists. Plans are underway to establish joint research teams to further strengthen this collaboration.
