On May 29, 2025 the last meeting of the case study “Polish cultural-historical heritage in Daugavpils” took place at J. Pilsudski Daugavpils State Polish Gymnasium as a part of the “Horizon Europe” programme project “The Cultural Literacies’ Value in Europe” (CLiViE). The researcher Maija Grizāne issued certificates to participants as well as conducted interviews on the progress of the project.

The project was integrated in the curriculum of the “History and Social Sciences”. The project resulted with the developed quest “Polish cultural-historical heritage in Daugavpils”, which was posted on the platform Kahoot. The purpose of the quest is to get acquainted with outstanding Poles from the past of Latvia and Latgale, to recall the contribution of Polish soldiers to the War of Independence of the Latvian state, to learn about the activities of the Union of Poles of Latvia in our days, and also discover interesting places for tourists in Daugavpils and the surrounding areas.

We are grateful to every pupil and every teacher from J. Pilsudski Daugavpils State Polish Gymnasium, who participated in the development of the project.
