On 10-11 December 2025, a working group meeting and the opening of the first Pop-up exhibition of the European Union research and innovation programme Horizon Europe project “Cultural Literacies’ Value in Europe (CLiViE)” took place in Warsaw.
The meeting brought together project partners, art experts, as well as young people and their mentors from several participating organisations. The project’s first Pop-up exhibition was opened in the restored Art Nouveau market building Hala Koszyki, which combines historical architecture with contemporary design. The exhibition presented the results of cultural case studies carried out by the Polish partners.
The case study “Sewing Machine” involved students from a vocational secondary school who creatively transformed used clothing into expressive artworks, addressing issues of sustainability and identity. During the CLiViE consortium meeting, partners also drew inspiration from the Sinfonia Varsovia case study “(Not) Out of Place”, held at the symbolic architectural landmark – the Palace of Culture in central Warsaw.
The meeting concluded with a visit to the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and discussions on the potential of arts-based education and its role in strengthening cultural literacy and social cohesion.
Daugavpils University was represented at the project events by Dr. oec. Ludmila Aleksejeva.
