The following elements of environmental accessibility are available in the study building at Parādes Street 1:
– There are adapted bathrooms on each floor of the building
– Elevator (elevator buttons with Braille, as well as an illuminated number on the reached floor);
– There is an elevator installed in the lobby of the 1st floor – Elevator for people with disabilities to get to the second level of the lobby and the library (elevator buttons with Braille, as well as provided audio information about the reached floor);
–There is information in Braille on the class number plates all throughout the building.
– informative signs are installed all throughout the building;
– from the 4th floor to the lobby of the observatory there is a lift for persons with disabilities;
– A mobile lift has been installed from the observatory lobby to the observatory for persons with reduced mobility.
Additional equipment has been installed in the reading room of Daugavpils University at Parādes Street 1:
– Computer for reading books with a text magnifier program.
– height-adjustable table.
