As part of ESDW 2026, the Daugavpils UNESCO Chair will hold the Nordplus seminar “Rethinking Mathematics: Teaching for a Sustainable Future”.

At the event, we will discuss together the role of mathematics in understanding and addressing sustainability issues, learn about methodological solutions for integrating sustainability into mathematics teaching, try out practically applicable tasks using real data, data analysis and mathematical modelling, and work in groups to seek mathematically sound solutions to various sustainability challenges.
