From 10 to 14 August 2026, Daugavpils University will host the international training course “Law Enforcement Leadership – EU Crisis Management”, organised by Daugavpils University in accordance with the cooperation agreement concluded with the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL).
The training course will take place at Daugavpils University, Vienības Street 13, Room 309.
The aim of the training course is to enhance the professional knowledge and leadership competencies of law enforcement officers from European Union Member States in managing crisis situations, while strengthening international cooperation, experience sharing, and the ability to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.
The course will bring together 26 participants from 15 European Union Member States, representing various law enforcement institutions. During the programme, participants will explore modern approaches to crisis management, leadership development, strategic decision-making, and inter-institutional cooperation, as well as analyse practical crisis management scenarios.
Daugavpils University’s cooperation with CEPOL has continued for several years. In 2025, the University successfully organised an international CEPOL training course addressing another topical issue in the field of law enforcement. The repeated selection of Daugavpils University as a venue for such international training courses demonstrates the University’s professional expertise, organisational capacity, and reliability in providing professional development opportunities for European Union law enforcement specialists.
The organisation of international-scale events strengthens Daugavpils University’s role in the fields of professional continuing education and international cooperation, while also contributing to Latvia’s recognition as a significant partner in the training of European Union law enforcement professionals.
