Daugavpils University invites students, academic staff and the entire university community to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year together on 1 September. We are especially looking forward to welcoming our first-year students, for whom this will be the first day at the university – an opportunity to discover the study environment, meet faculty representatives, study programme directors, university administration and future classmates.

The highlight of the Knowledge Celebration Day will be the meeting of first-year students with the management of Daugavpils University, during which the attendees will be addressed by the Rector of Daugavpils University, Professor Arvīds Barševskis. The university administration will welcome the new students, wish them success in their studies and inspire them at the beginning of this new stage of their lives. Throughout the day, various festive and community-building events will take place, helping first-year students become familiar with the university environment and become part of the Daugavpils University community.

• On 1 September regular study classes will not take place.
• Studies for students of all years begin on 2 September 2026 according to the study timetable.
