On March 6, 2026, an ”INFO Afternoon for Entrepreneurs” took place at the Culture Centre ”Vārpa” (30 Dobeles Street, Daugavpils). The event was organized by the Latgale Planning Region’s Entrepreneurship Centre in cooperation with the Augšdaugava Municipality and Daugavpils State City Municipality.

Daugavpils University was represented by Dr. Sanita Kecko, Director of the Institute of Life Sciences and Technology and Head of the Research and Business Centre ”REBUS”. During the event, a presentation titled ”Cooperation Opportunities with Daugavpils University’ was delivered, introducing entrepreneurs to the university’s collaboration formats, competencies, and infrastructure.

The presentation highlighted the role of Daugavpils University as a regional knowledge and innovation centre actively contributing to business development. The university offers a wide range of cooperation opportunities from scientific research and laboratory services to consultations, technology transfer, and joint projects with industry partners.

Special attention was given to the activities of the Research and Business Centre ”REBUS”, which serves as a bridge between science and business, promoting innovation, the development of new products and technologies, and strengthening cooperation between academia and industry.

Participation in the event fostered dialogue with regional entrepreneurs, expanded the network of cooperation contacts, and once again confirmed Daugavpils University’s active involvement in the economic development of the Latgale region and the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem.
