On November 6–8, 2025, the consortium meeting of the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme “Promoting Understanding and Lifelong learning Successful Education through the ARTs and culture” (PULSE-ART), Grant Agreement No. 101178988, took place in Thessaloniki, Greece. The meeting was attended by senior researchers from the Daugavpils University Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (IHSS): Dr. theol. Anita Stašulāne, Dr. philol. Ilze Kačāne, and Dr. philol. Oksana Kovzele.
During the consortium meeting, project partners from France, Greece, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, and Spain discussed the project’s achievements and agreed on further actions to ensure the successful implementation of upcoming tasks. Participants explored tools for increasing the project’s impact and strategies for involving multi-level stakeholders to enhance cooperation at both international and local levels. Discussions took place also in several parallel workshops dedicated to the development of the case study methodology, the coordination system, and the exchange of mutual experiences. Special attention was given to addressing the challenges of building and strengthening local partnerships, as well as to the effective implementation of publicity activities.
On the third day of the meeting, the PULSE-ART partners attended the MOSAIC-HUB “KCEE: Education and Art: A Bridge for the Skills of the Future”, organized by Anatolia College (Greece). The keynote speaker, Dr. Katharina Hoare, a researcher at the British Museum, delivered a presentation titled “Heritage and the Creative Arts: Advocating, Developing, and Celebrating”. During the event, the PULSE-ART Observatory, which compiles resources and examples of good practice in arts-based education from various projects and is designed to provide practical tools for fostering cultural awareness and expression, was presented.
