| The aim of the project: |
| The project ” Support for Daugavpils University in participation in the programme Horizon Europe” will promote participation of Daugavpils University in the Horizon Europe programme, including the development of RIS3 specialization areas within the Smart Specialization Strategy. Within the framework of the project, the main RIS3 specialization area of the Smart Specialization Strategy to be developed by Daugavpils University is knowledge-intensive bio-economics, as well as areas related to the main area – photonics and smart materials, technologies and engineering systems. |
| Planned results of the project: |
| The activities of the project will enable even greater scientific excellence and will strengthen competitiveness with Latvian and European higher education institutions, as there will be an increase (by at least 35) in the number of project applications submitted and assessed above the quality threshold under Horizon Europe and FP10, and the funding attracted under Horizon Europe and FP10 will increase. |
