2On March 14, 2025, the Department of Languages and Literature of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Daugavpils University (DU) welcomed Dr. hab. Tereza Obolevich, professor at the Department of Russian and Byzantine Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow (Poland). The professor is the author of more than 200 scientific articles and books on the history of philosophy, philosophy of religion, metaphysics, science, and religion. The visit took place within the framework of the project “Learn Russian in the EU” (DU and LatInSoft Ltd. cooperation agreement 2013–2025 No. 5-62/213-03/06). The possibilities for expanding cooperation were constructively discussed, including participation in international exchange mobility programmes and networks. T. Obolevich gave a lecture in Russian entitled “Aleksejs Losevs: philosopher, philologist, theologian,” which was attended by students, lecturers, and staff of the DU academic bachelor’s programme “Eastern European Culture and Business Relations” and the students of Erasmus+ programme, who actively participated in discussions about the personality and insights of this outstanding 20th-century Russian thinker.

We would like to thank Dr. philol. Anna Stankeviča, professor at the Department of Languages and Literature of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sergejs Simonovs, director of SIA LatInSoft, for promoting international cooperation.
