On 16 November 2023, the Business and Science Collaboration Centre of Daugavpils University hosted its inaugural event with Dr. Emmanuel Glenck, Head of Department at the Austrian Science Foundation (FFG).

The meeting brought together leading researchers and administrators from the Institute of Life Sciences and Technologies, the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the DU agency “Latvian Institute of Hydroecology.” In addition, deans and representatives from the Daugavpils University Faculties of Natural Sciences and Health Care and Humanities and Social Sciences participated in the discussions. The meeting focused on exploring how the university could contribute to fostering regional innovation and enhancing its role in driving development. Opportunities for strengthening collaboration with the Austrian Science Foundation were also discussed.
