DU IT Field Staff Participate in Erasmus+ Mobility at the Silesian University in Opava, the Czech Republic
From March 24 to 28, 2025, two lecturers from the Information Technology (IT) field at Daugavpils University (DU) took part in an Erasmus+ staff mobility visit to the Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic.
During the visit, the DU representatives became acquainted with the Silesian University’s (SU) IT study programs and infrastructure — they toured academic buildings, laboratories, and the immersive media lab. Meetings were held with SU colleagues to discuss future cooperation opportunities, including guest lecturing both in-person and online.
DU lecturers delivered lectures to SU students on current topics in cybersecurity and the application of decision trees in artificial intelligence. They also presented DU and its IT study programs, informing SU students about the opportunity to study at Daugavpils University within the Erasmus+ mobility framework.
Such academic cooperation fosters the exchange of experience, enhances international collaboration, and opens up broader opportunities for both students and academic staff at both institutions.
