On September 27, the Business Forum of Latgale took place in Daugavpils. The Daugavpils University and the Rezekne Technology Academy provided information about science-business collaboration and education possibilities in Latgale. The audience had opportunities to learn more about recent developments in the region. Good practices about business development and grant schemes to support entrepreneurship were presented. Entrepreneurs, policy makers, funding agencies, researchers and professionals had the chance to exchange their experience. The B2B session allowed businesses to build relationships and explore new opportunities in the region.

Beforehand, the DU Research and Business Center “REBUS” assisted the development of research offers for researchers at the Institute of Life Sciences and Technology and at the Faculty of Life Sciences and Healthcare to participate at the B2B session. The main focus was about providing expertise and services in energy efficiency, water analysis, synthesis of polymers, development of sensors, application of nanoparticles and IT. During the sessions, several meetings took place for further collaboration.

The Daugavpils University is grateful to the Forum organizers for the unique opportunity to participate at B2B session and to present our research offers to businesses, policy makers and professionals.
